I’m a contemporary interdisciplinary artist based in the South West of the UK, currently completing my Master’s in Fine Art. My practice has developed from acrylic painting and digital work into a combination of painting, collage, photography, projection and installation.

I began developing my practice more seriously in 2020, initially focusing on figurative painting, nudes and abstract forms. I was drawn to bold colour, expressive mark-making and the emotional qualities of the people I painted. Over time, my experimentation with digital media and collage began to take over, becoming a way for me to explore ideas more freely and intuitively.

My current practice explores my own experience of femininity as something colourful, excessive, contradictory, sensual and constantly shifting. I combine my own paintings with found imagery, photography and digital processes, repeatedly cutting, layering, projecting and reconstructing what I make. More recently, this has developed into an interest in creating immersive environments, where collage can move beyond the page and become something that can be physically entered and experienced.

At the heart of my practice is a desire to experiment, make connections and understand things through making. I don’t always know exactly where a piece is going when I begin, but I enjoy allowing the process to lead me somewhere unexpected.
